Nissan has unveiled a new innovative Concept Vehicle at the North Amerian International Auto Show in Detroit. It's an SUV with readical styling called The Xmotion.
Not for sale - this vehicle is an exercise in design and a glimpse into what the future could be like based on current trends. Still, the vehicle reaches into the past for inspiration.
True to Nissan's history of making cutting-edge crossovers and SUVs, the Xmotion is a combination of Japanese culture and traditional craftsmanship with American-style utility. Integrated into the concept SUV is a new-generation Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology.
The Xmotion was built with an exceptional amount of detail in both the interior and exterior with unique U-shaped highlights and a daring evolution of Nissan’s signature V-motion grille on the concept vehicle. It has an all-terrain tire design with 21-inch metal-crafted wheels.
The SUV is spacious with a 4+2 passenger layout which can seat a couple, another couple and two children or pets in the third row. This is because there are three rows of side-by-side individual seats.
The interior indicates Japanese landscape with imagery of the ground portraying a river and the center console acting as a bridge. The Japanese architectural wood joinery technique used for the interior design is known as "kanawa tsugi." It is a technique that is also used in the building of religious shrines and temples.
Standouts inside the vehicle also include an advanced graphic user interface which has seven digital screen portions with three being main displays while the left and right end displays span the width of the instrument panel.
True to the evolution of driving, autonomous driving technologies are also featured inside the Xmotion. An integrated voice command system also allows the driver to access information in a simple and safe manner.
