Ford reveals 2018 Mustang convertible

The 2018 Mustang convertible has been revealed this past Friday and it looks fantastic. Two new images for the model were released before it launches in the Fall.

Powering this vehicle is a 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder and the traditional 5.0-litre V8. Both of these options can be paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission which was co-developed with General Motors.

A new grille shape, angled headlights, and a lowered hood are all notable changes that have been made to the convertible with updated safety features such as Pre-Collision Assist, and a MagneRide suspension included as well.

According to a Ford spokesman, the vehicles suspension can be lowered in around 10 seconds at speeds up to three miles per hour with the mechanism being the same as the 2017 model.

The new 2018 Mustang launches in the US in September and will debut at the South Carolina and Louisville auto shows.
