A new teaser video posted online shows the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is going to be substantially lighter than the Hellcat. With the video being appropriately titled "Reduction", it shows how Dodge has focused one of it goals to make the Demon trim a lighter vehicle.
The press release reveals that the Demon is 200 pounds lighter than the standard Hellcat which is a decent drop off. Considering the Challenger Hellcat weighed in about 4,500 pounds, it's understandable to see why a few pounds could be shed.
Dodge claims the Demon will be the brand's performance halo car. In the pursuit of speed it is believed the Challenger Demon will surpass the Hellcat's 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque although the numbers for the vehicle haven't been revealed just yet.
A glaring visual in the teaser video is the larger hood bulge which might lead to the possibility of it containing a bigger supercharger.
