One can never tell what's in store for the future but that doesn't stop people from speculating what they feel might happen in the next 10 or so years, especially as technology continues to grow.
In the automotive field some people believe the future will be electric vehicles roaming the streets driven by humans while others think autonomous vehicles will take over and the owners won't even be driving them.

An interesting theory coming to light is that babies born today will never drive a car. Seems crazy enough but Henrik Christensen, head of UC San Diego's Contextual Robotics Institute, put this prediction out there as he spoke to The San Diego Union-Tribune before a big robotics forum took place at the University in February.
"My own prediction is that kids born today will never get to drive a car," said Christensen.
Initially it may seem weird to think babies today will never drive a vehicle but when you hear automotive companies like Daimler, GM, and Ford saying autonomous driving vehicles will be on the road in about 5 years then maybe the idea isn't as far fetched as it seems.
The autonomous driving technology has been a popular innovation that has been talked about a lot in the automotive field and if it is continuously worked upon in the next 10 or 15 years than it can it can be speculated babies of today may start getting their licenses as this technology comes into full effect.
Of course this is a prediction that may never come true, but nonetheless an interesting theory to think about.
