Apple is making a big play as the tech company now has support of over 200 vehicles for their in-car infotainment system. The list for compatible vehicles has got up by 50 entries with the likes of Audi, Honda, Kia, Maserati, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Volkswagen joining the mix with their 2017 models.
Notable adds of the infotainment system are the 2018 Audi Q5 luxury crossover SUV and 2017 BMW 5 series which will specifically be the first car with built-in wireless CarPlay.
If your vehicle doesn't have apple car play or won't be able to get the firmware update then their is a simple workaround. It costs a bit of money but Sony has a $500 in-dash stereo system which comes with Apple CarPlay and even Android Auto.
