Nissan debuted its new special Star Wars edition Rogue in Los Angeles this week.
This Rogue is the result of a cross promotion and collaboration, between Nissan and Disney, just in time for Disney’s latest Star Wars movie Rogue One which debuts in December.
The SUV's color scheme and style comes directly from the Storm Troopers in the Star Wars movies. There are also styling cues taken from some of the characters seen on the Death Star. Each limited edition Star Wars Rogue will carry Star Wars symbols on the door sills, rear bumper. Those who purchase one of these Star Wars Edition Rogues will receive a Star Wars "Death Trooper Helmet" as a bonus. It is the only version of the helmet that will be available.
The new Nissan Star Wars Edition Rogue will sell for about $30,000 U.S., and that may turn out to be a bargain, because Nissan is only producing 5400 units worldwide. 5000 will be sold in the U.S. 400 will be sold in Canada. That's it. When they're gone they're gone. This is the first time a Star Wars Logo has been officially attached to a production vehicle. Down the road that could make a Star Wars Edition Nissan Rogue one of the most sought after Star Wars collectible in the history of the movie franchise.
The vehicles will be powered by a 2.5 litre, four cylinder fuel injected gasoline engine. Until land speeders become common place these will just have to do.
