2017 Hyundai Genesis has price tag of $84,000

In case if you haven't heard of the price tag on the new 2017 Genesis G90 well then here it is. The luxury sedan comes in at $84,000 in Canada. That price gets you a fully loaded vehicle starting with a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine and horsepower of 365. It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission and Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel-drive system. Even the base model alone comes with heated and cooled front seats and a 17-speaker Lexicon sound system.

If you got a bit more money burning in your pocket you could upgrade the engine to a 5.0-litre V8 with 420 horsepower for $87,000. That extra $3000 also gets you LED headlights and ventilated rear seats.

Both versions come standard with safety features such as a pedestrian detection system, autonomous emergency braking and a blind-spot monitor.

The cost of the Genesis also includes the delivery and destination charges plus five years of free scheduled maintenance. Since you can't pickup the vehicle at a Hyundai dealership, a lot of the sales will come from online or its specialised boutique retail locations.
