Details for the 2017 Subaru Impreza have been released before the LA Auto Show next month. Earlier in the year at the New York Auto Show the Impreza was revealed by Subaru. The sedan and hatchback has now gotten some info released and one of them being that the four cylinder, 2.0-litre engine now features direct fuel injection.

The horsepower has gone up just a bit from last year with 152 (from 148). Coming standard for the Impreza will be a five-speed manual transmission. The Lineartronic CVT which is optional has been revamped and now has a seven-speed manual mode. Also coming with it is steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Impreza also has a 70% stiffer chassis that is made with high-strength steel.

The new Sport-tech trim will retail for $28,595 while the base 2017 Impreza has a sale value of $19,995.
