A smart partnership for Nissan has come along as they join forces with Star Wars as part of a promotional campaign for the new film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that is set to hit theatres December 16th. A clever campaign as Nissan's Rogue has had a good amount of success for its compact crossover. Teaming up with one of the biggest movie franchises is a sure fire way to advertise one of your best selling vehicles and the word play between the movie and vehicle is a bonus.
Nissan isn't the first automotive company to team up with Star Wars as Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Fiat and Jeep each had their own Star Wars-themed ads for last years hit "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". With Nissan it's a perfect match as the Rogue is enjoying a great amount of sales with only the Altima selling more vehicles for the brand this year. Sales for the Rogue have soared up 13.5 percent this year through July in the U.S alone and with that success the company is expected to be a big part of the advertising campaign.
Duracell, General Mills, Gillette and Verizon also have signed on to be a part of the promotional campaign for the Star Wars: Rogue One movie.
