It's time for a change as Fiat Chrysler by early next year will not be making vehicles in the United States. The focus is being switched in the U.S Fiat Chrysler plants as they will solely start working on pickups and SUVs for the Ram and Jeep brands.
As the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart productions are going down the switch is being made to target development of pickups and SUV's in the States. Canada, Mexico and other foreign nations are the remaining countries who are making Fiat Chrysler's remaining car models. The move is a smart one as Jeeps and SUV's have had continued success and selling well while the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart have been disappointing.
In all this is a solution for the automotive company to increase profit margins to match their competition.
