If you're from Colorado and need any more reason to get yourself into an Electric Vehicle, then you do now as the state has officially passed a bill that reworks the state tax credits associated with "alternative fuel motor vehicles."
Now when purchasing an electric vehicle from a dealership, customers can save $5000 by signing over the tax credit to the proper party which allows the dealer to make the deduction. Since the credits are being signed over to the dealerships, you don't have to wait till tax season which is instant savings. Not only are you getting an environmentally friendly vehicle but you are getting a cash incentive just for doing so. This will most likely lead to increased sales for EV's in Colorado.
This isn't the first time Colorado was an innovator as they were also the first state to legalize marijuana back in 2014.
