Toyota Tundra owner Victor Sheppard has accomplished a feat few people rarely do with one vehicle. For the past 9 years Victor has driven 125,000 miles a year in his pick-up. Toyota has now rewarded the 1-million-mile driver with a brand new 2016 Toyota Tundra.
Sheppard purchased his Tundra new back in 2007 and since has intensively used it to commute between Virginia and North Dakota.
Toyota’s engineers plan to strip down the 2007 Tundra to see how all of the components have held up through it's demanding 1 million mile journey. This will help engineers moving forward to see what went right with that model and how to incorporate it's longevity into future vehicles.
A 2007 Toyota Tundra with 1 million miles racked up on it for a new 2016 Toyota Tundra. Not a bad trade-off for Victor I would say.
