Audi to release new Electrified Car each year starting in 2018

Audi is preparing to bring a spark to its lineup after the diesel emissions scandal has caused quite a bit of turmoil for the automotive company. The news was brought to the public during the company's Annual General Meeting in Ingolstadt by CEO Rupert Stadler

"Starting in 2018, we will launch another electrified car each year," Stadler said. Electric cars are very popular in the auto industry currently and is most likely to continue to do so in the coming years as companies are working hard to create the best environmental alternative to fuel.

The long-awaited electric SUV modelled on last year’s E-tron Quattro concept is set to release in 2018 which brings a big start to Audi's new plans. By 2025, Audi says 1 in 4 vehicles would plug into recharge, whether it be battery-electric or plug-in hybrid.
