A rare and desirable Triumph TR3A will cross the auction block this Saturday in Toronto.
The car is equipped with JE pistions, and a custom ground Iskendarian cam, with a Judson Supercharger.
It has mallory igintion, a Holley electric fuel pump and an extrenal oil cooler.
in 1957 the TR3A was an update to the TR3, but they were not badged as such. The updated inlcued a wider front grill, exterior door handles, locable boot handle and they cam eiwth a ful ltool kit as standard issue. The total production was 58,236. There are few good quality survivors today, and in North America they are even rarer. It is estimated that only about 9,000 are still in existence today and of those survivors only a handful are of show quality.
The example being auctioned this week at the Classic Car Auction of Toronto spring edition 2016, has been meticulously restored and upgraded. The changes are however, subtle so the true spirit of open air vintage British style sportscar motoring has been preserved. This is a car that provides all the 50's style flair and British sports car excitement, while providing updates that enhance the quality of the overall driving experience.
The auction this weeked is the biggest of its kind in Canada. The Triumph is just one example of the diversity of quality automobile that will cross the auction block over the three days which span from Friday through Sunday at the International Centre in Mississauga. The event is produced by CCP Auctions.
